Country information Serbia:

For decades, Serbia was an important state of the former federal People’s Republic and the later Yugoslav Republic. In spite of the difficult economic and political circumstances, the country experiences a remarkable upward trend. There, different cultures, religions and languages are at home and hospitality has been instilled in the local people since birth.

The northern part of Serbia belongs to the Pannonian basin, the southern is dominated by several low mountain ranges.
National and natural parks with an area of more than 700.000 hectares, hundreds of medieval convents and churches and the colorful diversity of small and big cities, like Niš, Kragujevac or Novi Sad, speak for themselves. For centuries, Serbia has been keen to save its cultural and natural riches, which consist of buildings, historic monuments and natural areas partially protected by UNESCO. Therefore, the maintenance and renovation of these treasures are of extreme importance.
Many foreign enterprises recognize the positive trend of the new democracy as well as the geo-strategic advantage of location and use the growing opportunities in the form of branch offices or co-operations with local companies. Business people of all fields come above all to Belgrade to help the city relive its former glory.
Located at the junction of the two rivers Sava and Danube, Belgrade is one of the oldest European cities and has been an important intersection between Eastern and Western Europe .
Belgrade is a colorful mosaic of overlapping civilizations, which contributed to the fact that the city ascended to the metropolis of Serbian culture, cultivation, science and economy during its turbulent history. Today the outstanding charm with a mixture of abundant vitality, cosmopolitan atmosphere and sense of humor enthuses. The most important sights are the impressive Belgrade fortress with its extensive and historically significant “Kalemegdan” park, the orthodox cathedral and the St. Sava church. During the little journey through a changeful history, a stop at the many museums and galleries of the city is worthwhile. Furthermore, there are a lot of other historical monuments, lovely streets and squares or green oasis to discover.

Whether traveling for business purposes or as a tourist, staying at one of the both Best Western Hotels, guarantees the highest comfort and perfect service, thanks to highly motivated, professional staff.
The Best Western Hotel M offers an excellent restaurant, newly renovated rooms, a business center and conference facilities for more than 200 persons.
Not far from the Fair, the Best Western Hotel Šumadija is located. Its distinctive transformation will be visible in all parts of the hotel after its complete renovation in 2005.

Niš
After Belgrade and Novi Sad, Niš counts among the biggest cities of the country. Due to its convenient location at the important traffic road of the Balkan, Niš is the economic and cultural center of South Serbia. The Romans had already discovered the geographically interesting position and left, as many cultures afterwards, a range of architectural highlights, like the Fortress or the former suburb Niš Mediana, which can still be admired today. Visitors find pure relaxation in the healing thermal springs of the nearby spa Niška Banja.

The new Best Western Hotel My Place is directly located in the city center and is equipped in a most modern way. All 30 rooms provide any technical feature imaginable and thanks to a restaurant, bar, sauna, fitness center and conference room no wish will remain unfulfilled.
